Terms of Service

1. What the service does

Bastion maintains a database of Discord accounts that have been linked to leaking, cheating, scamming or reselling in game communities. Server administrators can connect the bot to their server and choose which moderation action the bot takes when a listed account is present. The honeypot module lets administrators designate a channel in which posting triggers a moderation action.

Bastion only provides the tooling. Every moderation action is configured by, and carried out on behalf of, the administrators of the server in which it happens.

2. Who may use the service

You must comply with the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. You must have the Manage Server or Administrator permission on a server to configure the bot for that server. You are responsible for the configuration you choose and for informing your members about the moderation tools in use.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

• harass, target or discriminate against individuals or groups;
• attempt to access data of other servers or users you are not authorised to see;
• interfere with, overload or reverse engineer the service;
• misrepresent the source of a listing or the evidence behind it.

4. The blacklist and evidence

Entries in the database are created by Bastion staff based on evidence. We aim for accuracy but cannot guarantee that every entry is correct or complete. Any person can sign in to see whether their account is listed, review the visible evidence and file an appeal. Appeals are reviewed by hand and the outcome is final, although a new appeal can be filed when new information is available.

Server administrators can whitelist a listed account for their own server at any time. The global entry is not affected by a server whitelist.

5. Availability and changes

The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We try to announce significant changes in the Bastion Discord server.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Bastion is not liable for any damage resulting from the use of, or inability to use, the service, including moderation actions taken by the bot on the basis of a configuration chosen by a server administrator, or from the content of the database.

7. Termination

You can stop using the service at any time by removing the bot from your server and, if you wish, asking us to delete your account data. We may block access to the service for anyone who violates these terms.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
